You can choose the handrail configuration that works for your application. The extended handrail extends 12 inches past the walking surface of the gangway. The 90 degrees is turned down 90 degrees, and makes for a more compact unit which works well on smaller floating docks where space is at a premium. They can also be bent at a less than 90 degree angle if desired.
